ComputED Learning Lab, San Diego's leading computer education resource, is pleased to announce winners of its 5TH ANNUAL EDUCATION SOFTWARE REVIEW AWARDS (EDDIES) - awards aimed at recognizing innovative and content-rich programs which are appropriate for use by educators to augment the classroom curriculum and improve teacher productivity. Winners were selected from hundreds of titles submitted by software publishers from around the world (a list of last year's winners is available). Selection was based on academic content, potential for broad classroom use, technical merit, subject approach, and quality of management system. Press releases are sent to news media locally, nationally, and to prominent educational web sites on the Internet, including our own (http://computedgazette.com). All submitted titles are made available to school districts, teachers, and the public through ComputED's Educational Software Preview Service.
